Ombudsmen of North Ossetia and Ingushetia jointly condemn terror act in Vladikavkaz

On September 17, Valery Tsomartov and Dzhambulat Ozdoev, ombudsmen of North Ossetia and Ingushetia, respectively, made a joint statement condemning the terror act committed in Vladikavkaz on September 9 by a suicide bomber.

"We resolutely condemn the act of terror committed on September 9 in the central marketplace of the city of Vladikavkaz and aimed against peaceful residents. Terrorism has no face, no religious or ethnic motivation; however, this violence has its aim - to sow fear, intimidate ordinary citizens and make them suffer, and undermine the image of the authorities," runs the statement.

Valery Tsomartov and Dzhambulat Ozdoev addressed residents, top leaders and public of North Ossetia and Ingushetia with a request not to admit destabilization of the situation and violation of constitutional rights of citizens of both republics.
The ombudsmen have also expressed their sincere condolences to the casualties' relatives and friends and wished prompt recover to injured persons.
