Armed clash with casualties in Vedeno District of Chechnya
Three servicemen of the Internal Troops of the MIA of the Russian Federation were lost in the mountains of Chechnya in the course of a special operation, as reported today by a source in law enforcement bodies of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).
Under preliminary data, the armed clash between employees of law enforcement bodies and servicemen of the MIA of the Russian Federation and a group of suspected militants took place in a large forest on a slope of Chermoi-Lam Mount.
"The information that arrives from the place of the incident confirms the death of three contract servicemen and an injury of a militiaman," the "Interfax" reports with reference to the source.
According to preliminary data, there are also casualties and victims among militants, runs the statement placed on the united website of the Chechen President and Government.
Currently, the mountains are covered with a dense fog. Despite it, the mop-up of the territory continues.
