President Shevardnadze: closure of Soros Foundation in Georgia not excluded

President Shevardnadze thinks it is possible that the Soros Foundation in Georgia will be closed.

"If Mr. Soros keeps on financing those who actively dispute against the authorities, I do not exclude the possibility that the actions similar to those of our friends in Ukraine, Belarus and other countries will repeat themselves," Eduard Shevardnadze told a traditional briefing on Monday.

"Mr. Soros decided to seriously interfere in the political affairs in Georgia, but it is not his business," stated Shevardnadze.
