Human rights through children's eyes

The student essay competition "Human Rights in Modern World" is annually conducted within the framework of the UN Human Rights Education in Russia Project. And here is the first result. Bika Ibragimova, an eleventh-form student from Secondary School 4 of Makhachkala, reportedly reached the competition final. Her thesis is "Problems of Children in Modern World".

It is interesting to note that one of the 2002 competition winners, a ninth-form student from Makhachkala Secondary School 13 Zaur Musayev also wrote about the problems of children. His essay was titled "The Convention and Children of the War". It was published in the second number of the Dagestansky Rakurs newspaper.

    Law enforcers have conducted a search of the home of Tatiana Polivanova, an activist, and her family members in Taganrog in connection with a fraud case with land plots of the Sochi National Park. The Polivanova's organization provided legal assistance to dozens of gardeners whose plots were seized by the court within this case.
