Society for Russian-Chechen Friendship volunteer was released

On November 1, 2003, the Information Center of the Society for Russian-Chechen Friendship received a report that Zairkhanov Ibragim (Rustam) Zelimkhanovich, 1979, was released on October 29, 2003.

Zairkhanov, who cooperated with the Society's Information Center as a volunteer, was detained in the village of Serzhen-Yurt on October 7, 2003, at 9:40 a.m., and was taken away by a group of Russian security agencies' officers and members of Chechen President Kadyrov's security service.

For more than 20 days Zairkhanov's relatives had known neither grounds of his detention nor his whereabouts.
