Dagestan: Ilyas Temaev's mother states that case against her son was fabricated

The case against Ilyas Temaev, a resident of Makhachkala, accused of storing drugs, was fabricated, asserts his mother, stating that her son fell victim to arbitrariness of the drug control authority.

The mother Patimat Magomedova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the prosecution of her son was preceded by a robbery of a pharmacy and detention of the robbers, one of whom was a relative of the employee of the local Department of the Federal Service for Drug Control (known as UFSKN).

According to Ilyas Temaev's mother, it turned out that an elder brother of one of the detainees worked for Division 2 of the UFSKN; and this employee managed to convince the second detainee to take all the blame on himself, and thus shielded his brother from prosecution.

Magomedova also said that on November 9, 2013, employees of the UFSKN "took her son away, beat up, pumped with drugs" and "planted a box with marijuana into her son's pocket," and then began extorting 400,000 roubles from Magomedova "for stopping the case" against Ilyas. "I refused to give the money; and they falsified a criminal case," said Magomedova.

The Dagestani UFSKN has stated that Aidaev and Osmanov had been brought to disciplinary responsibility "for a failure to follow the intra-departmental instructions during operative-search actions, which have nothing with the person of citizen Temaev."
