Verdict to Permyakov upheld

Today, the Armenia's Court of Appeal (CoA) has upheld the verdict to Valery Permyakov, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a family in Gyumri.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported wrote that on August 23, Valery Permyakov, a soldier of the 102nd Russian military base stationed in Gyumri, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of seven members of the Avetisyan family. The injured party demands a new examination of the case, arguing that the motives for the crime had not been established; and Permyakov could not act alone. On December 16, the CoA appointed the announcement of the verdict for today; and today, it has upheld the verdict to Permyakov, the "Interfax" reports.

So far, no comments have been made by the parties of the trial on this decision.
