Ruslan Kutaev and his family are heroes of film on political prisoners screened in Moscow

The documentary "It's Getting Dark" tells the story of five families recognized as political prisoners by rights defenders. Among the heroes is the family of Ruslan Kutaev, the President of the Assembly of Peoples of the Caucasus, who was convicted after organizing, against the order of the head of Chechnya, a conference on the deportation of the Chechen people.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the film was screened on January 27 at the Sakharov Centre with the support of the charitable fund to help prisoners and their families named "Imprisoned Russia". About 10 spectators came to the film show.

Olga Kravets, the author and co-producer of the film, is one of the authors of the multimedia project "Grozny. Nine Cities", which was launched in 2009.

One of the film stories tells about seven children of Svetlana Davydova, who are waiting for the return of her mother, arrested on charges of treason. Later, her case was stopped.

Another story is about the family of Gennady Kravtsov, convicted for treason for six years in prison, after in search of employment he sent his resume to Sweden.

The heroes of the film are the husband and daughter of the activist of "The Other Russia" Taisia Osipova. The film shows them getting ready to go to visit her in the colony.

The audience warmly welcomed the film and thanked the authors with applause.
