Radio Liberty journalists attacked in Yerevan

Several dozen people who attacked the Yerevan office of Radio Liberty tried to damage the equipment and beat up the staff of the radio station.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Yerevan, dissatisfied with the signing of the ceasefire agreement with Azerbaijan, broke into the building of the Armenian Government at night and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan. They also broke into the parliament building and went to the government dachas, where they want to meet the country's leadership.

The office of the Armenian service of Radio Liberty and journalists were attacked in Yerevan, the "Kommersant" has reported today, November 10, with reference to the Armenian Union of Journalists.

"The attackers tried to damage the equipment. According to preliminary data, the journalists of the radio station were also attacked," the "Kommersant" quoted a source from the Armenian Union of Journalists.

The attack was committed by about 40 people, the "Epress.am" has reported today. "They wanted to break the servers so that reporters could not go on air. They tried to break down the door; they hit me and the operator," the "Kommersant" has quoted Artak Ambartsumyan, a correspondent for the Armenian service of Radio Liberty.
