Mass rally in support of Kocharyan's electoral bloc held in Yerevan

A rally of supporters of the new pre-election bloc "Armenia", headed by Robert Kocharyan, the second president of the country, was held in Yerevan. The leaders of the bloc, which, according to the organizer, gathered tens of thousands people at the rally, declared the incapacity of the country's current government, the collapse of the economy and the hazy future of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, Robert Kocharyan, a former president of Armenia, headed the new pre-election bloc "Armenia", which included the opposition party "Reviving Armenia" and the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun".

After signing the memorandum on the creation of the bloc, Robert Kocharyan, together with the leaders of the "Reviving Armenia", Vage Akopyan, and of the ARF "Dashkantsutyun", Ishkhan Sagatelyan, went to the Freedom Square, where a rally of supporters of the bloc was held.

In their speeches, the organizers of the rally and leaders of political forces criticized the current authorities and blamed them for the critical situation in Armenia and Karabakh. Robert Kocharyan stated that "the countdown for the authorities that had surrendered Shushi has started." "They have 42 days left," he said and accused the authorities of incompetence and anti-statehood actions.
