Celebration of Adyg Day in KBR held amid coronavirus restrictions
On September 20, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) celebrated the Adyg Day: exhibitions, concerts and sports competitions were dedicated thereto. However, the most crowded vents – the march and the dance circle – have been cancelled this year due to coronavirus.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Adyg (Circassian) Day has been celebrated in the KBR since 2014. The reasons for celebrating it have sparked debates among Instagram users.
The Congress of the International Circassian Association was held in Nalchik on September 19. There, Khauti Sokhrokov, the head of the association, was re-elected for another three-year term.
Sports competitions, concerts and other events, dedicated to the Adyg Day, were held in district centres of the KBR.
