Sochi blogger apologizes for photo session near Moscow temple

In Moscow, policemen have detained Ruslan Bobiev, a blogger from Sochi, whose photo session against the background of the Saint Basil's Cathedral caused discontent among believers. After the detention, the blogger apologized for his actions.

Ruslan Bobiev came to Moscow from Sochi and posted in his social network pages and Instagram and TikTok accounts a series of photos in which he imitates sexual intercourse with a girl dressed in a police jacket against the background of an Orthodox Cathedral.

The photos have sparked a great public outcry, after which the blogger removed them from social networks, but they have already spread throughout Internet publics. Social media users have complained of insulting believers' feelings, the "Kubanskie Novosti" newspaper reported on September 30.

"The blogger who had made the provocative photos was detained by Moscow policemen," he TASS quoted a source from the General Administration for Moscow of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on September 30. Policemen have also detained the girl who figured in the photos.

The detained blogger Ruslan Bobiev had apologized for the provocative photo session near Saint Basil's Cathedral, the "Lenta.ru" reported on September 30. "I took photos near the temple. I apologize, I sincerely apologize. I will never do that again," Bobiev said and assured that he would not do such things in the future.
