MMA fighter reports about fan's apologies after fight in Grozny
At a tournament in Grozny, Chechen fans have booed Stanislav Vlasenko; and one of them doused him with water, the athlete has informed. According to his story, Ramzan Kadyrov has forced the fan to apologize.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the practice of public apologies is widespread in Chechnya. Locals also apologize for their behaviour at sports events.
Stanislav Vlasenko, a Russian MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter, said that at a tournament in Chechnya organized by the "Akhmat" Club, fans booed him after he defeated the Chechen fighter, Khussein Khaliev; and one of the fans poured water on Vlasenko and then threw a bottle at him. Ramzan Kadyrov made the fan apologize, Vlasenko has added.
YouTube users have noted the peculiarities of the attitude towards athletes visiting Chechnya. "I think that until they learn to behave like humans, athletes shouldn't go there;, and it'll be fair," the use Objective Reality has pointed out. "One shouldn't go there, they don't like losing," the user Oleg Oleg has supported. "Disrespecting a guest is ugly," the user Nikita T has added. "It's a shame how the guest was greeted," the user Zemlyachestvo was indignant.
