Chechnya holds second within 12 days large-scale exercises of MIA and National Guard of Russia
According to a report released on December 4 by the “Grozny” state-run TV Channel, the capital of Chechnya hosted large-scale antiterrorist exercises of the police and the National Guard of Russia.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on November 23, all law enforcement units of Chechnya were accumulated at the borders of the republic after a failed meeting between Magomed Daudov and representatives of the Ingush Council of Teips near the Fortanga River, dividing Chechnya and Ingushetia. The three-day exercises demonstrated the Chechnya’s readiness for war against the background of the unstable situation in the world, Ramzan Kadyrov explained then.
Last week, “the large-scale exercises of the National Guard of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs” took place in Chechnya, the “Grozny” ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) reported on its Instagram page late in the evening on December 5.
“The organizing and conducting the manoeuvres are aimed, first of all, at increasing the level of knowledge and tactical skills of personnel and their constant readiness to confront possible threats and challenges,” the “Grozny” ChGTRK states.
The exercises became the second training after the joint manoeuvres of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the National Guard of Russia near the border of Chechnya that took place in late November.
