Kadyrov announces Chechen law enforcers' mission in Ukraine

Chechen fighters have left for Ukraine in order to fulfil orders of President Vladimir Putin and protect the Ukrainian people, the Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, has stated, treating another mission of Chechen militaries as "settling personal religious scores."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, Kadyrov demonstrated his readiness to send fighters to Ukraine by gathering 12,000 law enforcers and military servicemen in Grozny. According to his story, over 70,000 people are ready to go to Ukraine from Chechnya. Kadyrov also confirmed the presence of Chechen law enforcers in Ukraine by posting a video of hoisting a flag with a portrait of Akhmat Kadyrov on the gates of a military unit with the emblem of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Kadyrov has stated in the video posted in social media that there were no losses among Chechen fighters. According to his story, Chechen fighters captured a warehouse with armoured vehicles and weapons, and "let go" the fighters of the Ukrainian National Guard.

He said that the first task of Russian militaries in Ukraine is to protect the population.

At the same time, he emphasized his love for the people of Ukraine.
