Law enforcers warn Ingush activists against taking part in unsanctioned actions
In Ingushetia, law enforcers have invited local activists for prophylactic talks and served them warnings against taking part in extremist and unsanctioned actions, a source has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the death of Alexei Navalny, 14 residents of Vladikavkaz tried to lay flowers at the monument to victims of political repressions. Policemen conducted prophylactic talks with these activists and "issued warnings on inadmissibility of violating the legislation of the Russian Federation."
After Navalny's death, townspeople across the country, including Southern Russia, have been persecuted for their attempts to commemorate repression victims.
According to the source, activists and former convicts in the case of the Magas rally are being called en masse to the Ingush Centre for Countering Extremism for prophylactic talks. Law enforcers have also contacted members of the Council of Teips (family clans).
