Police rummages the office of the Resource Centre for Human Rights in Azerbaijan

In the city of Nakhichevan (Azerbaijan), the police have searched the office of the Resource Centre for Human Rights and confiscated computers and documents.

The Radio Liberty correspondent reports that policemen rushed inside by force and literally smashed up the office. It happened immediately after yesterday's decision of the court in Nakhichevan to arrest Ilgar Nasibov, correspondent of Radio the Free Europe / Radio Liberty, whose wife Malakhat Nasibova is the head of the Resource Centre. Ms Nasibova is also a correspondent of Radio Liberty and independent "Turan" Information Agency.
