Chechen victims to receive compensations in Rostov Region

The Rostov Region will pay compensations to the persons who have fallen victims in Chechnya. The total sum of payments will make 1,318,000 roubles.

This decision was passed on December 12 by the Interim Commission in charge of appointing compensations for the lost houses and (or) property to citizens of the Chechen Republic.

This sum of money has arrived from the Federal Migration Service (FMS) of Russia for the Rostov Region. The sitting of the Commission has considered 13 applications. The applicants will receive a total of 1,443,000 roubles. 125,000 roubles from the FMS of Russia to one more applicant will be paid early in 2008.

Several days ago, the FMS Rostov Regional Branch received one more application that will be considered after verification in the database of the Federal Migration Service of Russia. It is planned that the funds to pay the compensation will be also received in the beginning of 2008.

Thus, all the applications from citizens received this year by the Department of the Federal Migration Service for the Rostov Region will be satisfied.

Let us note here that starting from 1997 the Interim Commission has considered a total of 1390 applications from the citizens who had lost their houses and (or) property in Chechnya. Compensations have been paid out to the sum of 126,963,000 roubles.
