Eyewitness in Maksharip Aushev's murder case regains consciousness
Tauzela Dzeitova, the main witness of the murder of the Ingush oppositionist Maksharipa Aushev, who was in his car at the moment of the murder, has come back to consciousness. It was reported today by the representative of the ICPO (Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office) for Kabardino-Balkaria.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 25 in the Federal Highway "Kavkaz" Aushev was shelled by unidentified persons from a passing-by car. The oppositionist died in place. Tauzela Dzeitova, his cousin of 29, who also was in the car, was brought to one of the hospitals of the Chegem District with heavy wounds received in the shelling.
"The wounded woman has come to consciousness; however, her interrogation is not obviously possible, as her health condition remains very grave," the "Interfax" quotes the ICPO representative.
Today, the NGOs of Ingushetia have published a statement condemning Maksharipa Aushev's murder.
"The range of crimes committed in recent years in the region is a frank challenge to the civil society. The providers of violence and lawlessness to the population, the so-called 'unidentified agencies', manage to sow chaos and anarchy in the territory of our republic with the aim to destabilize our society," the "Ingushetia.Ru" quotes the NGOs' statement.
In the opinion of the authors, "until the authorities start solving such crimes, the whole guilt and responsibility will be on their passiveness and absence of will."
