Heavy showers cause flood in Georgia
Downpours became the reason of flooding in the Kakheti District of Georgia. The stormy nature paralysed the traffic for several hours in the Gurdzhaani-Lagodekhi-Tbilisi highway.
Heavy rains caused a high water in the river and flooding several streets and dwelling houses in Gurdzhaani and arable land in the region. Plenty of cattle perished and agricultural crops were lost. All the night the population tried to strain their own efforts in overcoming the consequences of the calamity.
In Khorkheli village water flooded 7 houses, dozens of families suffered, as the "Georgia Online" Agency reports. The scale of losses caused by the flood is not yet defined, the "GHN" reports.
