In Gotsatl, fight at polling station followed attempt of ballot stuffing
In Dagestan, a fight occurred at a polling station in the village of Gotsatl of the Khunzakh District when an observer tried to prevent ballot stuffing. This was reported by a source. The law does not imply re-voting in such a situation, state Grigory Melkonyants, a member of the movement "Voice", and political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18, on the day of elections to the State Duma, in the village of Gotsatl, several young people, who supported one of the candidates, broke a ballot box and started a fight.
According to eyewitnesses, they heard shots during the fight.
"No re-voting is to take place. The action is treated in the same way as if a pack of ballots is thrown into a ballot box: the box shall be considered invalid," said Grigory Melkonyants with reference to the Law "On elections".
Thus, according to him, the will of citizens who voted before a violation took place shall not be taken into account in the general counting of votes.
The information is also confirmed by Dmitry Oreshkin, an independent political analyst.
