Wife of Adam Osmaev, suspect of attempt on Putin, assassinated near Kiev

Amina Okueva, an activist of the "Free Caucasus" movement, was killed near the village of Glevakha near Kiev; her husband Adam Osmaev was wounded, Anton Geraschenko, an advisor to the head of the Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 1, in Kiev, an assault was committed on Osmaeva and Okueva.

That attempt was committed by Arthur Denisultanov (Kurmakaev), nicknamed "Dingo", a native of Chechnya, the media reported. He was a suspect in the case of the murder in Vienna of Umar Israilov, the bodyguard of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

Unidentified attackers shelled the car with Osmaeva and Okueva at the railway crossing, Mr Geraschenko wrote in the Facebook.

"The heart of Amina Okueva, a patriot of Ukraine, has just stopped," he wrote.

Amina Okueva was born in Odessa in 1983. In 2003, during the second Chechen campaign, she left for Ukraine. Her husband was accused of plotting an assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
