In the 2nd quarter of 2018, 17 people fell victim to armed conflict in Dagestan

In the period from April 1 to June 30, 2018, at least 15 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Dagestan. Of them, 14 were killed and another was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to the law enforcement bodies, all 14 killed people were involved in the activities of the armed underground. A law enforcer was injured.

In Dagestan, most victims to the armed conflict were registered in April, when 13 people were killed and another was injured. In May, the republic registered no victims to the armed conflict, while in June, one person was killed.

The provided statistics cannot reflect the number of victims with the 100 percent accuracy. Not all information is included in the news reports. It is not always possible to check the reliability of the statements voiced by the law enforcement bodies. Besides, new facts about the events of the reporting period become often known after the statistics had been already published on the "Caucasian Knot".

Let us remind you that in the first quarter of 2018, at least 17 people fell victim to the armed confrontation in Dagestan.

In 2017, in Dagestan, 55 people fell victim to the armed conflict, including 47 killed and other 8 injured. In 2016, 204 people fell victim to the armed conflict in the territory of the republic. Of them, 140 were killed and other 64 were wounded.
