Resident of Dagestan arrested for 10 days, his relatives report his kidnapping and torture

A resident of Makhachkala, whose relatives filed a complaint about his kidnapping, sought the help of medical officers in court. His relatives reported the man had been tortured. The man himself denied all charges.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 28, a female relative of 42-year-old Omar Abdurashidov filed a complained about his kidnapping. Advocate Sapiyat Magomedova reported that the man was forced into a car and taken away to some unknown destination. On March 30, law enforcers searched the Omar Abdurashidov's house and found a gun. Relatives believe that it was planted.

Today, the court has arrested Omar Abdurashidov for 10 days. A criminal case has been instituted against him for financing terrorism. The man fell ill, and he began to shout that he did not do that. His relatives broke into his cage and began to show beatings on his body. The court hearing was suspended, the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports.

Omar Abdurashidov said that law enforcers tortured and beat him to force him to testify against a former top-ranking law enforcer.

According to the advocate, Omar Abdurashidov was tortured with electric current, beaten and threatened with murder.

Khadizhat Umakhanova, a sister of Omar Abdurashidov, said that before his disappearance, her brother worked at the Pension Fund of Dagestan and had no problems with the law enforcement bodies.

Khadizhat Umakhanova associates the prosecution of her brother with his work and the desire of his competitors to push him off a good position.
