Dagestani residents support claims of father of slain shepherds to law enforcers

Murtazali Gasanguseinov, the father of the assassinated brothers-shepherds, has held a picket in Makhachkala demanding to prosecute the former head of the police division. Gasanguseinovs' fellow villagers and townspeople came to support him.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parents of the Gasanguseinov brothers, killed in 2016 in a special operation, are seeking to punish the guilty law enforcers.

Officials and law enforcers gave no reaction to the picket, said Djambulat Gasanov, who represents Gasanguseinovs' interests.

Patimat, a resident of Makhachkala, said that she came to support Murtazali Gasanguseinov, when she accidentally saw his picket. "I really feel sorry for this man," she has explained.

The money earned by the slaughtered brothers was the only family's income, since the parents are disabled, Djamilya, their fellow villager, has noted.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer. The amount is ridiculous and should be appealed against, lawyers and human rights defenders have stated.
