Coronavirus quarantine lifted in NKR schools
The Ministry of Public Health of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has lifted the quarantine introduced earlier in educational establishments. Pupils will resume classes on March 9, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has confirmed.
"The results of laboratory studies of the assays of the married couple sent to Armenia with a suspected coronavirus are negative; therefore, no coronavirus cases have been recorded in the NKR," a MoE official told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The above spouses, who arrived on February 18 from Iran to the NKR, were examined on March 5 for coronavirus infection; the reason was the high temperature of one of them. However, the examination conducted on February 6 in Yerevan showed no infection.
On March 6, in Stepanakert, officials of the both above NKR Ministries held a meeting with teachers, where they stated that classes would be resumed on March 9 at all educational establishments and kindergartens.
