Armenia extends quarantine in educational institutions because of coronavirus
In Armenia, classes in educational institutions are suspended until March 23 after the detection of new cases of the coronavirus infection.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 12, in Armenia, the number of people infected with coronavirus reached six. Facebook users criticized the authorities for failure to introduce immediate quarantine isolation for all citizens arriving from Italy. Social network users also called on the authorities to close the border.
"We decided to suspend classes in all educational institutions until March 23. We will extend this period if necessary," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Facebook.
The Armenian Prime Minister mentioned the recent cases of coronavirus infection and reported that three persons from the same family had been infected with the virus.
On the air of the "Azatutyun" Radio Station, Tatevik Revazyan, the chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, has reported that air communication with Italy has been suspended and all people arriving from Italy will be isolated from other passengers at the airport.
