Six persons arrested in Azerbaijan for quarantine violations

The owner of a catering facility that was working contrary to the announced quarantine has been arrested, as well as five residents of Azerbaijan detained in the streets, the country's police have informed. Over 3700 people were fined for violating the restrictions due to coronavirus.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of April 6, Azerbaijan had registered 641 coronavirus infection cases; seven patients had died.

Since March 24, Azerbaijan is under the quarantine regime. Until April 20, people over 65 years old are not allowed to leave home; the rest may do it only in special cases.

On April 5 and 6, five operating catering facilities were found in Azerbaijan, the "Turan" News Agency has reported. The owner of one of them was arrested, four others were fined.

In total, 3796 people have been fined for violating the quarantine regime, including 1588 in Baku. Five persons were arrested for trying to illegally cross police posts.
