Rescuers count 23 hurricane victims in Chechnya
After a severe hurricane in Chechnya, 23 people received traumas; the roofs of 33 houses were damaged; of them, 26 have already been repaired, the Chechen Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has informed.
A strong wind with rain and hail broke out at night on June 4 in Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia. Twelve people suffered from the hurricane: a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria perished; out of the 11 victims in Chechnya, one is in grave condition. Residents of Northern Caucasus have criticized the authorities' slowness.
The Chechen MfE has provided new information about the republic's victims. "23 people received traumas; there were no casualties," the "Interfax" has reported with reference to the MfE.
The operative headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the hurricane is headed by Ramzan Kadyrov. "Tomorrow morning, construction teams will start the restoration works. All the repairs must be completed during the day," he wrote in his Telegram channel, the RIA "Novosti" has reported.
