Residents of Chechnya support throwing out of Tsarnaev's death sentence in USA
The decision of the US Court of Appeal to revise the verdict to Chechen native Dzhokhar Tsarnaev provoked a resonance in Chechen Instagram public accounts. Residents of Chechnya believe Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was not involved in a terror act at the Boston Marathon in 2013.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the version of the US secret services, the Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev brothers committed the terror act at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed during his detention, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death by a court in Boston on June 25, 2015, and after that he was sent to a maximum security prison.
The double explosion in Boston killed three persons and injured 180 others.
"I prayed so much for him. Praise be to Allah," user 008_arina wrote on Instagram. "Poor child. He did not commit the terrorist act," user gulyaalmati believes.
In the public account eldit_net, user riri5555555 called the message reporting that the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's death sentence had been thrown out "the best news for the whole 2020".
The terror act in Boston and the detention of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was perhaps the most resonant event of 2013, noted Lechi, a local resident. "In Chechnya, everyone talked only about that. Until now, people believe that there is something unclean in the case of the explosion at the Boston Marathon and that the Tsarnaev brothers were not involved in that terror act," the man noted.
"I still think that the guys just appeared in the wrong place at the wrong time. The fact that they were Chechen natives also played a significant role," Umar said in this regard.
