KBR resident commits suicide after detention for hemp bush near his house

During a search conducted in the yard of Nikolai Zakharchenko, a resident of the village of Nartkala, law enforcers deliberately walked to the place where the hemp bush was found; while at the police station, they persuaded him to sign empty protocols, the wife of the 85-year-old pensioner who had committed suicide asserts. The widow intends to rehabilitate him, the "Mediazona" reports.

Nikolai Zakharchenko committed suicide on August 18. A few days before that, his household was searched, after which law enforcers opened a criminal case on drug dealing. During a search, a bush of wild hemp was seized from the pensioner. According to Zakharchenko's wife, he pulled out the hemp in the garden and fed rabbits with it, Ruslan Elmirzokov, an advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot".

The man left a suicide note, in which he wrote that he was not guilty of anything; and his widow intends to achieve the recognition of his innocence.
