Nagorno-Karabakh asks Putin to increase the number of peacemakers

Nagorno-Karabakh has asked Russian President to call on Azerbaijan to implement the agreements, and increase the Russian peacemaking contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, the information headquarters of the unrecognized republic stated that Azerbaijani militaries had violated the contact line in the Askeran District of Karabakh. On March 25, three Armenian soldiers were killed and 15 others wounded.

The current number of Russian peacemakers is insufficient for the full implementation of the mission, says the Telegram channel of the information headquarters of the Karabakh government.

On March 24 and 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed by telephone with the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, the situation on the contact line in Karabakh, the TASS reports.

Putin and Pashinyan agreed to make efforts to resolve the situation. Pashinyan has stressed that Russian peacemakers should demand from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to return to their initial positions, the "Armenpress" has reported.
