Woman from Rostov Region fined for discrediting Russian militaries

The court has fined by 30,000 roubles a female resident of the Kagalnitsky District, finding her guilty of discrediting the Russian Armed Forces after her comments placed in a social network.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this is not the first punishment imposed on residents of the Rostov Region under an article about discrediting the Russian Army. On March 11, the Taganrog City Court fined three local residents from 20,000 to 25,000 roubles after they protested against the special operation in Ukraine. On April 6, it became known about a fine of 30,000 roubles imposed on a local, Nadezhda Vorobyova; and on April 12 – about a fine of 30,000 roubles awarded to a Taganrog resident.

The Zernogradsky District Court has fined a 37-year-old local woman by 30,000 roubles, the Main Department for the Rostov Region of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported on April 13 on its website.

According to the police, in one of the publics of a social network, she left negative comments about Russian militaries. The court found her guilty under the article on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces (Part 1, Article 20.3.3, of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses), the Department has stated.
