Relatives of perished Armenian soldiers call on to arrest Pashinyan

Parents of the Armenian soldiers who perished in the 2020 Karabakh war have announced a protest action demanding to arrest Nikol Pashinyan, the Premier, inviting political forces and activists to join them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above relatives are regularly holding protests. Thus, on July 6, several dozen parents of the perished servicemen gathered near the building of the Armenia's General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) and demanded from the country's National Security Service (NSS) to interrogate the Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, while changing the article against him to treason.

The parents of the perished soldiers have decided to organize a new protest action and demand the arrest of the Armenian Premier Pashinyan. "There is not a single day that would not bring us new victims, new losses of our native lands, catastrophes and disasters. Before our eyes, our villages and lands with their rich water resources, mines, historical and cultural values, residential buildings and gardens created over decades by the sweat of our compatriots are surrendered to the enemy without a single shot," the parents claimed in their statement, cited today by the "News.am" News Agency.

The statement says that on August 31, a trilateral meeting will be held in Brussels, at which, as the authors of the statement assert, "nothing good can be expected for the Armenian people and the Armenian state, except for harmful and humiliating new concessions." In this regard, they have called on all the parents whose sons died in the Karabakh war of 2020, political forces and activists to come out on August 30 to protest. They urged to demand from the Prosecutor General "perform his duty and arrest Nikol Pashinyan."
