Persecution of blogger Shevtsov’s parents in Astrakhan stopped
A court recognized as “actually fictitious” the events by which the police in Astrakhan explained the detention of Yuri Shevtsov and Galina Shevtsova for two days.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 22, blogger Vasily Shevtsov, who left Russia after the start of the mobilization, reported that his parents, 60-year-old Yuri Shevtsov and 55-year-old Galina Shevtsova, were detained in Astrakhan. The blogger associated the persecution of his parents with his posts on the Internet. On December 24, the spouses were released from the court.
The law enforcers did not correct the violations in the protocols drawn up against Yury Shevtsov and Galina Shevtsova, according to which the spouses allegedly rendered resistance to the police. The Leninsky District Court of Astrakhan terminated the administrative proceedings against Yury Shevtsov and Galina Shevtsova, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reported.
“The court found that the events referred to by the policemen are fictitious and contradict the circumstances of the case and the testimonies of both the policemen themselves and the witnesses,” said lawyer Vadim Ilov as quoted by the “Kavkaz.Realii”*.
