Irina Danilovich, Crimean woman, complains about absence of medical treatment in Stavropol colony

Irina Danilovich, a resident of Crimea, sentenced to seven years in prison on charges of possessing explosives, has been transferred to the colony located in the town of Zelenokumsk. Her father has informed that her health condition had worsened sharply; the doctor prescribed some medicine; she is taking it, but Irina can only receive the due medical treatment at hospital.

Irina Danilovich was detained in April 2022. According to law enforcers, she kept 200 grams of some explosive in the lining of her glasses case.

According to her father, Bronislav Danilovich, his daughter is in very bad condition. "At the slightest rustle she feels pain in the ears, and a whistling sound. She is in so much pain that she starts crying," the father has complained.

He has stressed that Irina was never accurately diagnosed. "For a year now, no one knows exactly what she is sick with ... The doctor in Zelenokumsk prescribed some medicines; we sent them to her; they are giving them to her, but her condition is still bad. And this affects her general condition, psychological one – it is close to critical," Mr Danilovich has explained.

In its turn, the penitentiary service asserts that Irina Danilovich's health condition is now satisfactory.
