Post in social network results in fine imposed on resident of Ingushetia for discrediting Russian Army

Ismail Pliev, a resident of Ingushetia, has been fined by 30,000 roubles for his post placed in a social network.

According to the court, he has placed a pacifist post on the Instagram*, which was found while monitoring by employees of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the Ingush Branch of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

Pliev has pleaded guilty and expressed his repentance, the "Kavkaz.Realii"** project has reported.

*On March 21, 2022, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning the Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.

**Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.
