In North Ossetia, the ATC driver who killed a woman sentenced to two years in colony

In the capital of North Ossetia, the driver of an Armoured Troop Carrier (ATC) accused of driving down Aishat Pogorova has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a colony-settlement.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that today the Military Tribunal in Vladikavkaz has sentenced Seitmagambetov, D. E., to two years of imprisonment with serving the punishment in a colony-settlement, and to deprivation of his driving licence for two years.

Mustafa Pogorov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent: "Under the criminal legislation, a theft accomplished by an organized group, for example, is punished by 5-10 years of imprisonment. And if a person was intentionally killed by a whole crew by driving down to death with armoured troop-carrier, the maximum possible punishment is only three years of settlement. It means that for the justice the life of a hen is more valuable than the life of my niece. I once again repeat that Aishat was intentionally knocked down, which is confirmed by the witnesses. And now, the State Office of Public Prosecutor represents the case as if nobody at all was killed, and it was just a myth."

Also Mustafa Pogorov said that the commander of the ATC crew Aksyonov was not present at the last two sessions, which was explained at the Military Prosecutor's Office by his transfer to another military unit.
