Mayor of Kalmykia's capital is left at large on bail

The Elista City Court has rejected the petition of the inquiry to extend the custody of Radiy Burulov, Mayor of the capital of Kalmykia, and left him at large on bail.

On February 18, the Supreme Court of Kalmykia released the Mayor from custody. Burulov's case was sent for new consideration to the Elista City Court, where today the petition of the investigation to extend his custody was considered. At the same session, the court has ruled that Burulov can stay at large, having deposited the bail of two million roubles, the "Mayak" Radio reports.

We remind you that on December 31, 2008, the Elista City Court ruled to keep Burulov behind bars till March 13, 2009. He was kept at the temporary custody since August 11, 2008.
