Ingushetia opposition sends signatures in support of Aushev's presidency to Medvedev

Today, an address to Dmitri Medvedev on behalf of residents of Ingushetia and 80,000 signatures of the republic' residents  in support of returning of Ruslan Aushev to the post of Ingushetia president was brought to the RF President's administration reception office.

Ruslan Aushev, ex-president of Ingushetia, stated that he could not ignore the opinion of 80,000 residents of the republic who put their signatures  under address to President Dmitri Medvedev.

The collection of signatures in support of Ruslan Aushev to the post of Ingushetia president was called provocation at the Ingushetia parliament. "All these hollow calls simply do not make sense, they cause damage and do not foster any further development of the republic or strengthening peace in the south of Russia ", stated Makhmud Sakalov, Ingushetia parliament speaker.

"Polit.ru" reports that Karim-Sultan Kokurkhayevm Ingushetia ombudsman, stated that many rebukes addressed to the republic's leadership were biased and "are objectively oriented to casting clurs".

Ruslan Aushev himself thinks that the situation in the Caucasus has changed for the worse. "During six months, 70 militia officers have been killed. They stopped talking about independence in the Caucasus", stated Aushev in an interview to the newspaper GZT.ru.

According to him, the youth becomes more radical, they do not trust either the authorities or the official clergy and more and more often the ideas of Sharia are voiced. The Ingushetia's ex-president also stated that, possibly, one should think of introducing Islamic justice elements in the Russian Moslem regions.
