Georgia sets new restrictions because of coronavirus

Georgian authorities have extended the ban on air travels until April 30. Marketplaces are closed in districts because of non-compliance with sanitary standards; and in Tbilisi, street disinfection is carried out.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of April 5, in Georgia, the total number of coronavirus cases reached 174.

Restrictions on regular air flights have been were extended until the end of April, the "Georgia-Online" reports.

For the time of the state of emergency, until April 21, the country closed its surface and sea borders for passengers. An exception is made only for Georgian citizens who intend to return to their homeland.

Traders have negatively perceived the news of the closure of marketplaces. "Of course, I understand that this is done in order to protect people from the infection, but I'm losing my salary," Tamara, a saleswoman, said on air of the "Mtavari Arkhi" TV Company.
