Chechen Aurbiev's relatives indirectly confirm Tumso's version about attempt on his brother
Relatives of Tamerlan Aurbiev, a native of Chechnya, recorded a sudden video appeal in which they claimed he was prone to crime. Thus, they indirectly confirmed the information of blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov about an attempt on the life of his brother Mokhmad. Such a video appeal could not appear without the knowledge of the Chechen authorities, human rights defenders suggest.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 8, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported there was an attempt to kill his brother Mokhmad in Germany. According to the blogger's information, Tamerlan Aurbiev, a killer from Chechnya, refused to kill Mokhmad and disclosed the name of the intermediary in the case. Family members of the man hired for the murder have been evacuated from Chechnya.
The Aurbiev family members, who said their relative was capable of committing crimes, were forced to record the video appeal to discredit the man, users of the social media platform suggest.
Ruslan Kutaev, the president of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, believes that the attempt on the life of Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov is connected precisely with the activities of his brother Tumso.
Svetlana Gannushkina, the chair of the "Civic Assistance Committee", has noted that relatives of Tamerlan Aurbiev do not speak directly about his involvement in the assassination attempt, but the very fact of the video appeal is suspicious. The human rights defender believes that the video has been recorded with the knowledge of the Chechen authorities.
Svetlana Gannushkina has also added that she does not doubt the information voiced by Tumso Aburakhmanov.
