Journalist Gadjiev's colleague holds picket in Makhachkala

Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" outlet, has held a solo picket in Makhachkala demanding the release of the convicted Abdulmumin Gadjiev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Gadjiev's colleagues treat his criminal case as political persecution and regularly hold solo pickets in his support. On December 11, such a picket was held by the above Magomed Magomedov.

As reported by the "Chernovik" in its Telegram channel, Magomedov stood with a poster: "Freedom for Abdulmumin Gadjiev".

Let us remind you that Abdulmumin Gadjiev, one of the "Chernovik" editors; Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" Charity Fund; and Kemal Tambiev, an activist, were arrested in June 2019 on charges of financing terrorism. On September 12, 2023, the court sentenced Gadjiev to 17 years, Rizvanov to 18 years, and Tambiev to 17.5 years of freedom deprivation.
