Kuban activist suspected of taking part in undesirable organization
A court in Krasnodar will consider the case of Vitaly Votanovsky, who had filmed the graves of the soldiers, who perished in Ukraine, and now is accused of taking part in an undesirable organization.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 16, law enforcers detained Vitaly Votanovsky, the author of the Telegram channel "Titushki in Krasnodar", and local activist, Victor Chirikov, after they filmed in the town of Tikhoretsk the graves of the military servicemen who perished in Ukraine. On the same day they were released from the police.
The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar will consider the case of Vitaly Votanovsky under the article on participation in an undesirable organization on September 29; it follows from the court file.
The court has notified Vitaly about the upcoming trial, but the administrative case details are unknown to him, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reported on September 17. "I don't know what the 'undesirable organization' is; no one has shown the case materials to me," the project has quoted the activist as saying; he refuses to plead guilty.
*The project of the "Radio Liberty", which was included by the Russian Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign media, performing the functions of a foreign agent.
