Alleged militant killed during CTO in Chechnya
During a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya, a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) was killed, Ramzan Kadyrov has reported, indicating that the alleged militant was alone; and the law enforcers involved did not suffer.
An improvised explosive device (IED) and a grenade were found on the casualty, the TASS reports citing its source.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on October 13, for the first time since December 2016, the CTO regime was introduced in Grozny. In the shootout, four suspected militants were killed; and two "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) servicemen and one policeman were killed. The owner of the unfinished house, where the CTO was conducted, was detained together with his two wives, one of whom is pregnant. In their turn, Instagram users have suggested that the CTO was staged for the sake of generous subsidies from the authorities.
