The Dagestan authorities consider Gadji Abashilov's murder unsolved

The case involving the murder of Gadji Abashilov, Chairman of GTRC (State TV and Radio Company) Dagestan is considered unsolved by the President of Dagestan Mukhu Aliyev and Suleiman Uladiyev, the Abashilov's successor as the TV and Radio Company Chairman. They believe that the person who ordered the murder has not been found and those who will appear in court are just scapegoats.

As the "Caucasian Knot" informed earlier, there were two defendants - Elchin Gasanov and Ruslan Gitinomagomedov charged with the murder of Gadji Abashilov, Chairman of GTRC Dagestan. Their criminal case was submitted to the court on May 28.

According to Suleiman Uladiyev, Chairman of GTRC, who succeeded Abasilov in this position, the fact that the person who ordered the crime has not been named is a political problem.

"I think that these people have nothing to do with the murder or they are just ordinary criminals who executed the order," he said. "Gadji Abashilov was not a businessman, he did not pose any threat to them and they were not interested in him in any way. He was a political figure, a man close to the President of the Republic. But what are then the motives for the crime? Who ordered it? We should keep in mind that until his name is not told, the murders will continue."

The President of Dagestan Mukhu Aliyev commenting on the arrest of the suspected killers said they were just scapegoats and the investigators had been unable to find those who ordered the murder. He pointed out that the crime should be completely solved in order to find out "who needed it."
