Medvedev: power bodies in Northern Caucasus are inefficient and unpopular
President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev has stated, at the sitting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation held on June 9 in Makhachkala, that the low efficiency of the authorities in some republics of Northern Caucasus is accompanied by the loss of trust in the authorities and loss of their respect by the population.
According to Mr Medvedev, the negative phenomena observed in certain regions of the Southern Federal District (SFD) are aggravated by the relative poverty of the population, very high unemployment rate and "just monstrous scales of corruption; systemic deformations in regional governing, when state power efficiency is the lowest."
"Therefore, the work of putting things in order and liquidating the terrorist rabble should be continued irrespective of the regime enforced, because it is an issue of safety, an issue of life and health of our people," said Russian President.
He has stated that the judiciary practice should be thought overthe materials prepared by inspectors for the courts should not fail there either by influence of corruption or because of poor quality of the materials as such.
