Investigation: Doku Umarov and Ali Taziev are main suspects of attempt on Evkurov

The investigation considers the leader of Chechen militants Doku Umarov and his subordinate and leader of Ingush underground Ali Taziev, also known as Magas, to be the main suspects of organizing the attempt on President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

"Now, Doku Umarov and Ali Taziev are among the main suspects of organizing and committing the attempt," said a source in law enforcement bodies.

"In the course of examining the DNA and the biomaterials remained from the suicide-bomber, it was established that it was a male; however, his person was not identified by the available database," said the source.

The information that the car, which blew up along the route of the cortege of the President of Ingushetia, was driven by Taziev is not confirmed at the present moment, as reported by the "Interfax" Agency.
