In Nizhni Novgorod, on VDV Day, commandoes fought Caucasian natives
The militia of Nizhni Novgorod is now checking the fact of a mass scuffle that burst out on the VDV Day (holiday of airborne troops) between former commandoes and natives from the Caucasus in the Kanavin District of the city, as reported by an employee of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) for the Nizhniy Novgorod Region.
From start of summer, it is already at least the seventh case of mass fight with participation of natives of the Caucasus in the Russian Federation. As reported earlier by the "Caucasian Knot", on July 1 in Nizhni Novgorod a mass fight burst out near a cafe with participation of about 80 persons, including natives from Northern Caucasus. Then, law enforcers detained 21 persons.
As reported today by the Kanavin RUVD (District Interior Unit) of Nizhni Novgorod, the incident happened in the afternoon on Sunday, August 2, in the vicinity of the Central marketplace, as the "Interfax-Volga Region" reports.
"The fight was held by about 30 former commandoes, who celebrated the VDV Day, and about 70 natives of the republics of Northern Caucasus. After the fight about 10 commandoes addressed only the trauma centre of the Kanavin District; one of them was hospitalized," said a source from the Kanavin RUVD.
At the city forum of Nizhni Novgorod, eyewitnesses tell that there were some 10-15 commandoes, and over 100 natives from the Caucasus (by other sources - about 200).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on that very day a mass scuffle took place with participation of natives of Kalmykia and Tajikistan in southwest of Moscow. As a result of the fight, one person was hospitalized with a knife wound in the stomach.
On July 26, during a mass scuffle in the vicinity of Shushanovka village, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, a militiaman suffered.
