Saakashvili is prepared to sacrifice parts of his body for returning South Ossetia and Abkhazia to Georgia

Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili has announced that he is prepared to sacrifice "the parts of his body for which Vladimir Putin hunts" in order to restore the territorial integrity of his country and return South Ossetia and Abkhazia to Georgia.

"If I believed that the problem is in my personality alone, I would walk or fly to Moscow and give up the parts of my body for which Putin hunts against the protection of our future and return of our territories ", said Saakashvili in a live broadcast of the "Imedi" channel.

The Georgian president also stated that he was ready to give up NATO against the guarantees of security from Russia and territorial integrity.

In November 2008, the French journal "Le Nouvel Observateur" published the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Nicolas Sarcosi during the war in South Ossetia, in which the Russian Premier promised "to hang Saakashvili by the balls". At the time, Putin's press-service called the article an insinuation.

However, on December 4, 2008, Putin himself did not refute his words during the live talk of the RF Prime-Minister with citizens of Russia. Answering the question of a person who phoned the studio, whether it was true that the Prime-Minister had promised "to hang Saakashvili by one organ", Putin said: "Why one?". The hall of the Russian TV studio responded to the Premier's reply by applauds.
